The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering came into existence in 1985 immediately when the institute was founded. It was started with an intake of 40 students which was subsequently raised to 180 over a period of time. It offers 4-year B.Tech degree programme in Electronics And Communication Engineering, 2 year M.Tech degree programme in VLSI.
